We've got storms coming, so I should have plenty of time to sit down and create some artwork and do some writing for a friend (eyes ). I'm hoping to put some of the tips in my new watercolor book into practice...and finally use some of those rose petals before they dry out. :-)
Jeff and I watched a couple episodes of Star Trek: Voyager last night. Lori Petty was in the second episode. I've liked her ever since she appeared in Booker (a spin off from 21 Jump Street that starred Richard Grieco).
I'm also hoping to get some reading done today.
So, I'd better get off here pretty quick! :-P
By the way, it looks like both my kids are open to coming here for eight days (or so) in August. I've bought the tickets for Leah and we'll go pick Eric up in Joplin. I have no idea how we can surprise my mom with all this...Leah won't be too much of a problem, but Eric's trickier. My mom would be suspicious if we take a 2 1/2 hour trip "just for the heck of it." ;-) Still, I'm going to try to figure out a way to surprise her with both visitors. :-)

We did our grocery shopping on Saturday and did fairly well. We didn't spend as much as we sometimes do, but we have enough to eat for the next week. After we got back from Walmart, Jeff mowed the lawn (took him two hours to finish what he began a few days ago) and I ordered a new computer keyboard and USB cable to be shipped to our store. I ordered
I'm about to get off here and start work on some new art cards and maybe a watercolor painting, if I can. I've also got to contact some local printers and see what they can come up with in the way of prints from the project I just finished. And I need to call
It was chilly yesterday and today is starting out chilly, as well, and breezy. The past few days have been windy and chilly, too. In fact, we do have a frost warning through 10:00 a.m. this morning. Thankfully, Jeff brought all the potted plants in on Saturday. He knew we were supposed to have frost. So they're all safe. :-)
We watched The Young Riders, season one, disc one Saturday and Sunday nights. Wow! I forgot why I loved this show so much! I've got to buy the DVDs at some point. This is one show that would be worth every penny, in my opinion. :-D
Okay. I'm outta here!

My Dick Blick order has arrived! This is what I got:
Those canvases on the right are only 2.5"x3.5"...the size of an artist trading card. The easels are the perfect size to hold them. :-D
On the left is the new Dick Blick Spring Sale 2008 Catalog. :-)
And now I'm outta here to try out those pencils. I may even start sketching ideas for a watercolor painting! :-D
